BotanicaPaladins is a great dungeon to level in as a Paladin because it’s relatively easy to clear and you can stay here for several levels. With the Joyous Journeys buff now active, the experience you can earn from this dungeon is even better.
Spec and Gear
For this dungeon, you’ll want to spec into the Retribution tree. This will give you the maximum amount of damage output. Here’s a sample spec for level 71:
Divinity (5)
Seal of Command (5)
Pursuit of Justice (5)
Improved Devotion Aura (1)
For gear, you’ll want to wear the best you can find and Get ready for some wotlk gold. However, there are a few specific items that can be very helpful.
Engineering goggles with a meta gem
Level 70 PvP weapon with Berserking
These two items will give you a significant boost to your damage output.
Run Walkthrough
When you first enter Botanica, you’ll want to use your rocket boots and run straight down the hallway, pulling all of the first few groups of mobs. Once you get to the first group of casters, you can stop and kill them. Be careful not to pull too many at once, as they can hit quite hard.
After you’ve killed the casters, you can continue down the hallway and pull the next group of mobs. Be sure to kill the Mender first, as it can heal the other mobs.
Once you’ve cleared the hallway, you’ll come to the first boss, Lady Ha’layne. You can choose to kill her or skip her. If you do decide to kill her, be aware that she summons some extra mobs during the fight.
After the first boss, you’ll come to a large area with a variety of different mobs. You can pull these mobs in groups of two or three. Be careful of the Botanists, as they can heal the other mobs.
Once you’ve cleared the large area, you’ll come to the second boss, Xylophiles. This boss is relatively easy to kill. Just be careful of his Whirlwind ability.
After the second boss, you’ll come to the final area of the dungeon. This area is full of Bloodwater Stewards. These mobs have a nasty Whirlwind ability that can do a lot of damage. Be sure to kill these mobs quickly.
At the end of the final area, you’ll find the last boss, Atramedes. This boss is a bit more difficult than the previous two bosses. Be sure to watch out for his Mind Control and Fear abilities.
Once you’ve killed Atramedes, you’ve completed the Botanica dungeon!
